This is the Lauryn Hill I came to love. In hindsight, thugoh, I can hear some of the signs that explains why she’s taken the unfortunate route she has. Her feelings that she needs to minister to people, her calls to be righteous’ etc. Her zealotry and the burdens she placed upon herself because of it seemed to really unravel her. It’s interesting to hear her note that if one doesn’t conquer what ails them from within they can’t deal with others. Since this interview, well Anywho, I hope she finds some sense of peace and a bit more humility.
